Liverpool

P erched along the scenic Susquehanna River and Route 11/15, the community of Liverpool is home to approximately 960 residents. East-facing slopes overlooking the river host thriving wineries, some with panoramic views of the river.

Laid out in 1808, Liverpool served as a bustling hub for the Pennsylvania Canal during the 1800s, with well-preserved historic architecture and an active community ballfield echoing that era.

Today, many residents enjoy a convenient 40-minute commute to Harrisburg, the state capital. Recreational highlights include world-class smallmouth bass fishing on the Susquehanna and nostalgic crossings aboard the historic Millersburg Ferry – one of the last operating wooden paddleboat ferries in the United States.
