Landisburg
Nestled amid rolling farmland near the scenic Doubling Gap in Blue Mountain, Landisburg is home to about 225 residents. The borough features historic structures over two centuries old, preserving early Perry County heritage.
The Dunbar-Creigh House is an example of Pennsylvania stone construction. Built 1794-1809 as a banked house built into a hillside for insulation, it was an inn and stagecoach stop along important early travel routes.
South of town, the picturesque Rice Covered Bridge, constructed in 1869, spans Shermans Creek, one of 14 covered bridges remaining in Perry County.
