Ickesburg

Route 17 is a beautiful highway, located entirely in Perry County, passing through the picturesque agricultural land of Raccoon Valley. Route 74 passes over two mountains connecting Carlisle to Port Royal and offers scenic vistas as well as several memorable hairpin turns. Both routes intersect at the community of Ickesburg, which is situated in the shadow of Tuscarora Mountain. The community is home to businesses supporting travelers and the residents of the surrounding Saville Township, and is home to the active Ickesburg Fire Department which hosts several events each year including the ever-popular Ickesburg Fireman’s Carnival.
