Pool at Little Buffalo State Park
Campers and RVers will love the wide variety of campgrounds situated along our two rivers. The Juniata and Susquehanna Rivers offer excellent fishing, kayaking and tubing. Hikers have access to miles of trails, including the Appalachian Trail which passes through the area.
The 96,000 acre Tuscarora State Forest, with park offices in Blain, covers portions of six counties and offers nearly 200 miles of trails, numerous scenic vistas and the opportunity to explore historic narrow gauge railway ruins. Camping, hunting, fishing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling are all popular activities.
Horseback riders are permitted on the extensive Alfarata and Beaston trails in the Tuscarora State Forest. Fowlers Hollow State Park is the perfect base camp for a ride, offering trailer parking and camping facilities.
